You need to register to buy or sell on 1KJobsOnline.com. To register, click the ‘Join’ button; fill in a valid email address and all other details. After registration, a confirmation Email would be sent to your registered mail box, you need to click on the link in the mail to fully activate your account. (Please check your spam folder if you cannot find the mail in your inbox.)
Next, log into your account and set up your profile. Do this by clicking the word ‘Settings’ under the profile tab. Here you can enter your full name, profile picture and something interesting about you. You’ll also need to enter your complete bank details (name, account number and Bank) on this page for withdrawal purposes.
The services provided are called gigs, and gigs are offered for a fixed price of 1,000 Naira.
Sellers




  • ‘Seller’ refers to the person offering a gig/service. Before you can become a seller you have to pay a one time start up fee of 1,000 Naira. To pay the seller start up fee, click the ‘start selling’ link on the home page. You’ll be redirected to the seller activation page, click on the ‘Activate Seller Account’ button to activate your seller account.
  • To create a gig, click on ‘create a gig’ under the seller tab. Fill in the required information on the page that loads next. Make your gig as descriptive as possible, clearly state what you need from the buyer to get the job started and set a realistic delivery date. You’ll need to upload an image that best relates to your gig for better conversion. (You can get tons of royalty free images by doing a search online)
  • You can view and make amends to your completed gig by clicking on ‘My Gigs’ under the seller tab. On this page you can also suspend a gig (in case you cannot meet up with orders) or delete a gig.
  • When a buyer orders your gig, you will get an email notification. You can then go to the ‘manage sales’ page under the seller tab to review the order.
  • To review an order, click on the title of the ordered gig. The next page shows you the expected delivery date and the buyer’s response to your order requirement. On this page, you can send the buyer feedback messages, or send the completed job by clicking on the tab that reads ‘Deliver Completed Work’. The ‘Got Problems?’ button, gives you an option to cancel an order independently or by mutual agreement with the buyer. Note that cancelling an order independently has a negative impact your seller rating so you should avoid this except when absolutely necessary.
  • After you submit the finished work the buyer as 3 days to review the order and communicate any issues. The buyer may return the delivered work with a message if not satisfied. In which case you are to review, make amends and return the newly completed job. After this period the job would be marked completed. (Note that this 3 days review period can be shortened and the order marked as completed if the buyer gives you a positive rating anytime before the 3 days elapses.)
  • Once the order is completed there is a three days clearance period (in case any other issues arise) after which you can withdraw your funds, by using the‘withdraw your earnings’ tool on the revenue page.
  • Withdrawals are free and your bank account would be credited within 24hours.
Promoting your gigs
IKJobsOnline advertises regularly to get fresh buyers to the site, but you can also promote your gigs by publicising them on social networks like face book and twitter and getting your friends to join in. You can also use the 'share' tool.
Get your gig featured. For your gig to be featured there must have traffic from at least 15 distinct individuals coming from the outside world via your social media tools. In addition, we look for gigs that provide real value, have an appealing look (images, description, user profile completeness etc.) and have earned a few positive reviews from buyers.

Buyers
  • ‘Buyer’ refers to the person paying for a gig. Before you can order a gig, you need to fund your 1KJobsOnline account with a minimum of 1,000 Naira. You can fund your account paying into our Skye Bank account with the following details:

  • Once you have made your payment, you’ll need to register your payment details by  going to the ‘notify’ page under the buyer menu. Fill in your payment details and submit for approval. Approval would be done within 24 hours after which the amount paid would reflect in your 1KJobsOnline account balance.
  • To order a gig, click on the gig’s ‘order now!’ button. You would be led to a page that gives a more detailed description of the gig, and states what the seller needs from you to get started. If you are satisfied with the information provided, click on the ‘order’ button and pay using your account balance. You will get a ‘success’ message and 1,000 Naira would be deducted from your balance.
  • To activate your order – Still on the same page, click on the name of the gig. The next page shows you the information the seller needs to get started. Fill in the form (you can attach a file when necessary) and submit. Note that it is only when this step is completed that the seller can see your order and start work on it.  You have now completed the ordering process and an email informing the seller of your order would be sent out instantly. Now all you need do is wait for a correspondence from the seller or the delivery.
  • To view correspondence from the seller, go to the ‘My Shopping’ page, under the Buyer tab. You’ll see the order under the ‘Active’ tab, click on the title of the gig, and send your response to the seller.
  • You would receive an email when the seller delivers your order. To view the completed work, go to the ‘My Shopping’ page click on the tab that reads ‘Pending My Review’ and review the completed job. You have 3 days to complete your review after which the order would be marked as completed and the seller credited. On the same page, give a positive rating about your experience with the buyer. (Note that when you give a rating, the system instantly marks the job as completed and your 3 days review period gets terminated). If you are not satisfied with the delivered work, click on the ‘Got Problems?’ tab, fill out the form and submit. The seller would have to improve and redeliver the finished work.
  • Buyers can cancel orders by mutual agreement with the buyer. To do this go to the ‘Got problem’ tab and select the appropriate option. You can also send a support ticket to cancel late order and delivered others for up to 2 days after order completion date (subject to Admin’s review of the case). We will not be able to cancel completed orders after that time.
  • If you can’t find the gig you want, then use the ‘Suggest Gigs’ section to put out the message. The section is frequently reviewed by sellers, and an eligible seller might decide to offer your desired gig and contact you.
